What’s difference between pc3200 400mhz DDR ram & pc4000 400mhz DDR ram?
PC4000 would be the equivalent of 250 MHz RAM, or DDR-500.
For DDR, you take the PC number and divide by 8 to get the data transfers per second. You divide that by 2 to get the MHz, or times the MHz by 16 (2 *
to get the module name.

200 MHz = DDR-400 * 8 = 3200, which is PC3200.
With DDR2, you times by 32 (or 8*2*2).
So, PC4000 at 400 MHz is a misnomer or false advertising on the chip.
